This is what we are dealing with every day. Mis-information from the EPA and my State of Indiana believes it. Now the Phase II units have no efficiency rating or column and yet my State of Indiana is going to go ahead because it states QUALIFIED by the EPA and that will let a bus load of these monsters to be installed and operate 12 months a year in Indiana, not to mention a bunch of other states and cities as well.

When the EPA wakes up it will be too late, they will say too bad we will let those that got in to be grandfathered. This is criminal.

What can you do to stop this? What are you willing to do to stop this? All of us would like to know how you intend to stop this?

If the EPA gets away with this one well we might as all move back to the city and even that is not safe.

Two wrongs do not make a right. How can you have a qualified Phase II unit with no efficiency numbers be qualified? Wouldn’t part of the qualification be the efficiency of the unit, wouldn’t the test that the manufacturers used be flawed in order for the EPA to remove that column. Just who is IDEM protecting taking this stand when there is serious doubt as to the validity of the EPA/manufacturers testing? Was IDEM aware of this information before the March 2nd 2011 Air Board Meeting, that should have been made public? If that was the case the Air Board was given a half truth. We know that the EPA is in bed with the Hydronic Heater Industry and that is why we are in the mess we are in at present.
